Laurie was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. While traveling with one of her jobs she decided there were too many nicer/warmer places to live and moved South in 1993. After sustaining a bad knee injury in 2002 Laurie decided to pursue a career in massage therapy to help educate others on the benefits and overall effects it has on one's well-being. While attending massage school an opportunity came up for her to purchase Serenity Day Spa. After 8 years in existence Serenity came to know a new owner. Laurie is Nationally Certified and also licensed in the state of Georgia. She specializes in myofascial release, trigger point therapy, neuromuscular and deep tissue techniques but administers all types of massage.
