Therapeutic massage focuses on specific muscle tensions which can be addressed through several different types of massage techniques. Below are just a few that we offer and specialize in.
Myofascial Release is a form of bodywork that is manipulative in nature and seeks to rebalance the body by releasing tension in the fascia. Long, stretching strokes are utilized to release muscular tension. Myofascial Release is a manual therapy technique that is utilized to help relieve pain and tension that is due to injury or stress. It involves releasing and unwinding the fascia (connective tissue) that surrounds each muscle and interconnects all of the other internal parts of the body. This tissue layer, which connects every muscle, tendon, ligament, bone, and organ in our bodies, can store memories of physical trauma. Releasing these restrictions allows us to discharge recurring emotional as well as physical pain. Sessions can include craniosacral work, stretching techniques, and deep touch.
Hot stone massage brings the element of heat into your experience. This service is very soothing and allows the therapist to work deeper quicker and use the stones as a tool on the larger muscule groups i.e. back, thighs, and gluteus areas.
This gentle to firm massage increases circulation and aids the body in cleansing itself of toxins through the use of long, relaxing, and rolling strokes.
Enhances the overall effects of a massage through the addition of therapeutic essential oils. A luxurious service to heighten the senses and create a state of total bliss.
Active isolated stretching and myofascial release is used to help athletes and others regain their full range of motion in the joints and other key parts of the body.
This treatment includes cleansing of the feet with hot towels that have been soaked in essential oils, a scrub that will polish the feet, a rose mud wrap and foot massage. Your feet will be hydrated and renewed with this service.
